Eco Almag
Ultra-Lightweight · High Strength · Eco-Friendly
The New Standard of Future Alloys

Eco Almag is an advanced material that surpasses the limitations of conventional aluminum. It is a high-performance, eco-friendly, ultra-light alloy proven in the electronics, automotive, and defense industries.

Eco Almag ?

Eco Al-Mg is an innovative aluminum-magnesium alloy technology that overcomes the environmental and technical limitations of conventional alloy production. This eco-friendly, high-performance material contains 5–17% magnesium, achieving both high strength of 400 MPa and high elongation of 30%. It also enables stable production without the use of harmful substances such as beryllium (Be).

Variation of Tensile Strength with Work Hardening Degree of Aluminum-Magnesium Alloys

Tensile Strength Variation with Work Hardening Degree of Aluminum-Magnesium Alloys

  • The Almag series can achieve superior tensile strength under high-hardness hardening.

→ Commercial alloys (5056, 5083) remain at the level of 360–435 MPa even in H38 and H18 tempers.

  • The higher the degree of hardening, the greater the strength gap becomes → Suitable for fields requiring high strength and lightweight properties.

Eco-Mg Alloy for Flame-Free, High-Mg Aluminum

World’s First Commercialization!

Increasing the Mg content in aluminum improves both strength and formability. However, due to oxidation and combustion risks, the industrial limit for Mg addition had remained at 5wt%.
➔ With the world’s first application of non-flammable ECO-Mg, it became possible to exceed the critical 5% threshold, and we successfully achieved the world’s first commercialization of this breakthrough.
